Awards Presented by the CWA

THe Foremother's Award

This award recognizes women who, through their efforts, lay the foundations for significant building and change in the society around us. Whether it be through advocacy, charitable activities, political campaigns, or educating other women, the CWA applauds the work of those women who use these mediums to pioneer into the future of racial equality and social justice.

This year's Foremother's award will be awarded to Jill McKenzie, Founder of W.I.V.E.S at the annual luncheon the second week of February.

The Mother of Peace Award

This award recognizes women who ditinguish themselves as advocates of peace between factions. We owe a great debt of gratitude to the ladies who bring tolerance and understanding to a world of discrimination and bigotry.

This year's Mother of Peace award will be awarded at the Mother's Day Dinner in May. Please contact us to nominate candidates.
