Mother’s Day Mothers of Peace Brunch May 13, 2006

 

 The colorful event was co-sponsored by CWA, Iliff’s Justice and Peace Studies Office, KBDI Channel 12, and the Gay and Lesbian Fund for Colorado.   In addition to a silent auction and a moving vocal performance by Yvonne Brown, we were privileged to have Dani Newsom as our keynote speaker. 

 

The following women were chosen for their invaluable work because it has improved the lives of women and girls in Colorado, along with paving the way for the next generation:

 

        Ms. Deb Deboutez (Colorado Coalition for the Homeless)

        Ms. Linda Meric (9 to 5 National Association for Working Women)

        Dr. Jean Miller Schmidt (Illif School of Theology)

        Reverend Dr. Carroll Avon Watkins Ali (Greater Denver Interfaith Alliance)
