Kathy Benavides

    Single mom, world traveler and Christian yogi. BA in Poli Sci from CU-Denver and MA in Conflict Governance and Development from the University of York, UK.

Lisa Calderon

   Professor at Metro State College of Denver, leader of INCITE!'s  Denver chapter and apart of so many other committees and Boards too numerous to mention.

Ajenai (AJ) Clemmons (President)

     Community Relations Ombudsman – Office of the Independent Monitor.     Community Relations Ombudsman for the Office of the Independent Monitor – Mayor Hickenlooper’s new monitor of the Denver Police and Sheriff Departments.   B.A. in International Relations from Drake  University. MA of Public Policy from the University of Denver.

Erin Lanz

Nora Nye (Vice-President)

     Attorney – Nye and Associations, LLC. Attorney specializing in employment law, civil right, and fair housing.   Executive board of the Denver Area Labor Federation.   Member of the Housing Opportunities Made Equal  Committee at Newsed (an economic development organization in Denver’s lowest-income neighborhood). Also provides Know Your Rights services.

Lisa Pettitt (Treasurer)

     Parent – Home Schooling. Former Senior Researcher for the Prevention Research Center for Family and Child Health.  Raising three young children and is an activist for a variety of progressive causes (frequently seen at events and  rallies along with her children as she teaches them about social justice and activism).

Kitty Reed

Melissa Thompson

     Ex corporate attorney turned student of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  B.A. from Stanford University.   Worked at the Native American Rights Fund and concentrated her legal studies on Native American Law while at CU-Boulder.  Political activities have included pro-bono legal work, activism regarding the environment, and issues of particular import to the Gay and Lesbian community.
