Women's Empowerment through
Political Activism

Volunteer for CWA:

We are looking for...

• Secretarial: office work, filing, answering phones & emails etc.
• CWA Representative: Represent the CWA at external coalition and organization meetings and report back.
• Fundraising - attend meetings and do legwork for fundraising events.
• Organize and lead grassroots campaigns - including canvassing.
• Lead Political Awareness seminars.
• Government: Collect and document voting results for bills during session.
• Lobbying: Lobby the CWA's position at the capitol.
• W.I.V.E.S followup - collect data and poll women's votes.

Volunteer for Other Organizations:

• Alternative to Family Violence - working with battered women and children.
• Big Brother / Big Sister - mentor young children from broken families.
• Safehouse - Supervise housing for victims who come to the safehouse.
• The Drop-in Shelter - Serve food etc. to homeless women who come in.
• Rape Recovery Hotline - answer hotline phone calls.
• Planned Parenthood - counsel young women to make prudent choices.
• Mothers Milk Supply - donate mothers milk for infants in need.
